14 cze 2008 · Got a 2008 Audi A8L 4.2 FSI motor. Wanted to known where the camshaft sensors are located on this car. Got a code P0393 Camshaft Position Sensor "B" (bank 2) Circuit Intermittent. Thanks in advance guys.
31 paź 2018 · To remove the harness connector from the sensor I would : 1. Push the connector into the sensor. 2. Press and hold the release button. 3. Pull the connector off the sensor.
18 gru 2016 · Bank 2, sensor B means driver's side exhaust side, if I recall, but I would confirm that before making the replacement. I know on my D4, there were 4 camshaft sensors, and it's the same slightly tweaked engine from the one in the D3.
2 sie 2008 · if I am correct, the cam position sensor is located on the intake cam shaft, which is the shaft closest to the intake manifold or inside of the V-angle. On one side of the engine its located in the front of the head, on the other side of the engine its located on the back of the engine.
8 sie 2022 · It's throwing lots of camshaft position sensor codes for Banks 1 and 2: P0340, P0341, P0345, P0346, P0016, P0018. I've searched on here, youtube, google, all that but can't seem to find the locations of the 4 camshaft sensors.

The ECM uses this data to control when to command spark and fuel for the best engine efficiency.
The camshaft sensor enables the engine control to determine the exact position of the crankshaft drive. This information is required to calculate the ignition point and injection point, among other things.
