27 lut 2015 · This stunning piece of late mid-century modern German engineering, the iconic Grundig SO 191, recently came through the shop. It’s owner picked it up from an antique shop in nearly pristine cosmetic condition, but with a few electrical issues to sort out. It’d power on, but wouldn’t play!
I have some understanding that they need some repairs to keep them alive and working for years to come. I have already replaced the electrolytic capacitors on my SO 112 US and need further guidance on replacing whatever it may take to upgrade the rest of it.
I recently acquired a vintage stereo console. I believe it is a Grundig. All the electrical has been stripped from it, record player, etc. We already have plans to paintstrip it and refinish it, but I would love to be able to play music from it.

29 sty 2021 · Was given an early 1960s Grundig stereo console from original owners. Beautiful cabinet but components need some work. Does anyone know of a reputable repair shop or person in the state of Virginia ?
