The college offers Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees in 71 fields as well as certificate programs in 59 vocational areas. The main campus in Lancaster hosts the satellite location of California State University, Bakersfield-Antelope Valley (CSUB-AV), where students can obtain bachelor's and master's degrees in select subjects.
AVC was founded in 1929 as a department of Antelope Valley Joint Union High School in Lancaster. Today AVC has a service area of 1,945 square miles with an annual unduplicated headcount of more than 18,000 and employs more than 850 people.
25 lut 2021 · Antelope Valley College officially opened its newest aerospace teaching facility during a grand opening ceremony at Fox Field in Lancaster, Feb. 19, 2021. The new facility is comprised of a 10,000 square-foot hangar, composite lab,computer lab and classroom/office space.
