There were 2,296,840 new cases of breast cancer in 2022 among women. Breast cancer was not reported for men. The 10 countries with the highest rates of breast cancer and the highest number of deaths from breast cancer in 2022 are shown in the tables below.
6 wrz 2022 · In 2020, there were about 2.3 million new cases of breast cancer globally and about 685 000 deaths from this disease, with large geographical variations observed between countries and world regions.
Results. The global BC mortality rate increased overall by 0.23% per year (95% CI=0.20, 0.25), with statistically significant increases in the under 50 and 70 and over age groups, and in 5 out of 7 regions.
31 maj 2023 · Results: Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer death in females worldwide, with an estimated 2.3 million new cancer cases (1 in 4 new cancer cases) and 685,000 cancer deaths (1 in 6 deaths) in 2020. Breast cancer incidence rates varied by nearly 4-fold across WHO areas.
