Minimum Requirements for ALL Applicants: Must have a high school diploma or GED; except School Crossing Guards. Must have a clear criminal history. Must be a United States citizen. Driving record must not show a disregard for the law. Credit history must show sound financial management with the ability to keep accounts paid up-to-date.
Applicants must be residents of Anderson County, SC; however, a permit is valid across the State of South Carolina, so long as it is issued in the County where you reside. Applicants must have a valid (non-expired) government issued picture ID in order to obtain a permit.
