I hated the puzzle boxes back in 2007, I still hate them now. Even after RL is long gone, there will just be another third party puzzle solver because there's a lot of people that enjoy clues, but really hate puzzles.
They just need to add the puzzle solver items like RS3. You can sell them or use them

Occasionally, players will need to solve puzzle boxes for a hard, elite or master clue in a Treasure Trail. Puzzle boxes contain a scrambled image that players must work to unscramble by clicking on tiles to move them to an empty space.
A puzzle box is always scrambled 101 times before being handed to the player, by randomly sliding a piece into the empty position starting from the solved state. If you have a duplicate puzzle box, (obtained by a method such as the Drop trick) in your inventory or bank after completing the clue, you cannot obtain another clue.
