11 wrz 2015 · You could try appending everything from the blend file into a new blend file. Open a new file and use Shift+F1 and browse to the suspect blend file, and select everything you want to append http://www.blender.org/manual/data_system/datablocks.html#appending-or-linking-across-files
5 gru 2022 · Try to right click the file and choose the “open with” option, then choose Blender to open the file, while you are at it check the “always use this program” box. Or rename the file extension, get rid of the “1” ( myfile.blend1 to myfile.blend ).
i was working in blender, i saved my file and exited blender. after some time when i try to open my file in blender i get an error "File Format Is Not Supported In...". I tried opening the .blend file from my File explorer but once i open it i only see the default cube, not the thing i've been working on.

As for appending not working, it's possible that the file format is not supported in Blender or there may be some other issue with the file itself. Asking your freelancer to share a zip file or another format might be a good idea as well. Good luck with troubleshooting!
