Green card is much better as a travel card than the Plat or Gold. It offers more areas for traveling outside of just Airfare. Most people don't get real value from the Plat perks, so I'd recommend the green in that case.

I would say Green is vastly underrated and overlooked by many, myself included. It's a good entry level travel card if you're invested in the AmEx ecosystem and the CLEAR benefit, which we love for the few trips we take annually is great. We don't care about lounge access as that comes with our tickets.
While I partially regret not going for the Gold, I justify my Green card on the grounds that my main reason for wanting one of the charge cards was the security of being able to finance large sums without it adversely affecting my credit score.
