  1. AMD is fine and you are right, I would go for an 8gb card. Even if you dont upgrade now, maybe in the nearer time an upgrade comes along (because something dies, mobo or knowwhat). I would go for a newer card, so 5700xt or 6600 sounds fine, as 10 series nvidia will be also already older used cards, 5 or more years old.

  2. First, new releases tend to be in beta for the first 6 months or so with manufacturing issues, bad firmware, BIOs problems, and other motherboard/power issues. Second, releases have been delayed till late 2024 for AMD and mid 2025 for Intel with additional delay for compatible boards.
