21 maj 2020 · Kindle Paperwhite (bought new in April 2019) started an automatic, unprompted update about 11 hours ago. Progress bar is stuck around 90% and restart/reset isn't working. How do I restart/reset it so it will download the update and reload?
open your Kindle cover, and press and hold the power button (this is usually on the bottom of your device, but may be on the back) until a dialogue box appears or the screen goes black. Continue to hold down for a count of 40, then release. After a few seconds, your Kindle should reboot.
