A phase diagram (often also called an equilibrium diagram) is a convenient way of representing the phases present in an alloy system at equilibrium as a function of composition and temperature (remember, pressure is one atmosphere).
Here is the Aluminum - Copper phase diagram. Yes, it is quite complicated - but only if you alloy more then about 53 at% copper. The aluminum - Al2Cu phase diagram; i.e. the part left to the 53 at% Cu, is about as simple as you can have it for two atoms that cannot mix atomically at any large ratio.

The phases present at eutectic point has θ-Al2Cu intermetallic phase and the α-Aluminum phase. The θ-phase contains about 53.7%wt copper content.

Examining the phase diagram: the 33wt%Cu alloy is of eutectic composition and. the 20wt%Cu alloy is hypoeutectic as it is to the left of the eutectic point. So, first considering the Al-33%Cu alloy: The eutectic reaction, at 33%Cu can be shown as: Liquid > alpha + theta.
