23 cze 2024 · If you have HDMI problems and you have a Smart TV, but you get HDMI error messages. Soft-Reset your Smart TV: Using the remote that came with your TV. (not the Spectrum remote) with the TV turned on, hold down the power button on the remote until the TV turns off and a screen pops up showing the name of the TV, release the button.
Test both HDMI inputs on the TV using firestick, PS5 and Switch. All 3 work in both HDMI slots. Test 2 different cable boxes on the TV in question and other TV's to make sure they run fine. Reset the TV to factory settings. Insured it was on latest firmware.
It says I need to use the Spectrum app. However, port forwarding in the app doesn't seem to be as user friendly as it is in the browser. I can't type port ranges into the lines.

Even after opening the port on the router, I used a port checking tool (https://www.whatsmyip.org/port-scanner/) and it's still showing the port as closed. I called Spectrum to see if this was just an issue of a bugged app, and the tech confirmed that the port was open on their end.
