17 wrz 2007 · The only Alien Bees/White Lightning /Zeus Lighting modifiers I have experience with are the Moon Unit softboxes for the ABR800 and Zeus Ringmaster. Good light quality. I also like Chimera for softboxes (light quality, good materials and durable construction) and Photek Goodlighter II umbrellas.
So before I click a "checkout" button today on a new light pack, can someone give me some pro's and con's of the Alien Bee packages. I am very interested in the cons - specifically in the performance and output compared to a Dyna-Lite setup.

17 lis 2012 · If I want/need a hair light I will use my Alien Bee B800s on a boom for effect. I am fairly new to studio lighting too. Got a couple of PLMs and life is good as I learn more and more everytime I use them.
I am not expert, but there are advantages and disadvantages to both setups...it really depends on the job and your preference and shooting style to a certain degree. The monos have way more power and offer a lot more control in my opnion.
