Hot Rod Radio USA® is a two hour, syndicated, weekly oldies/classic rock radio program. I focus on cool cars and the rockin' music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I throw in a few slow ones too!
Hot Rod Radio was started in 1994 as a weekly two-hour music program of "golden oldies", hosted by popular broadcast personality, Wings Kalahan.
Wings Kalahan is a genuine hands-on car guy and innovative broadcaster. At the SEMA Show in 2005, Wings was inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame. Wings is pictured above with his 1938 Chevrolet one and a half ton truck, powered by a 450 H.P.- 502 cubic inch big block Chevy.
Hot Rod Radio was started in 1994 as a weekly two-hour music program of “golden oldies”, hosted by popular broadcast personality, Wings Kalahan. After a couple of years, we felt that it was time to take Hot Rod Radio to the next level and Hot Rod Radio USA® was born.
15 paź 2019 · At the NSRA Northeast Nationals in Burlington, Vermont, NSRA DJ Wings Kalahan signed off the air for the last time. Wings had been the voice of NSRA events for 42 years.
15 lis 2023 · We had Wings Kalahan from Hot Rod Radio on the show! We had a blast talking to him about his career. It all started in 1963 when Wings Kalahan received a tape recorder (which he still has & still works) for Christmas. There was a kind of magic a person could perform with a recorded voice.
