Does anyone know for certain whether iOS 15’s new Safari extensions can work with third party browsers like Firefox? If not, is there any possibility of a Firefox sync extension for mobile Safari so that history, bookmarks, tabs, etc. can sync from Safari to desktop Firefox?
Lastly Safari at least used to be updated only on the system updates, meaning that even if you got a new browser update from Firefox for example, but you no longer get system updates from Apple. That then means that the Firefox browser still contains the same security holes from it's webkit engine.
Mozilla does support extensions on mobile, just not IOS, since Firefox on IOS is just WebKit with a Firefox UI. If apple were to allow other browser engines, it would be trivial to support extensions, but that's not going to happen anytime soon...
