Alloy 316/316L (UNS S31600/ S31603) is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel developed to provide improved corrosion resistance to Alloy 304/304L in moderately corrosive environments. It is often utilized in process streams containing chlorides or halides.
AISI 316L stainless steel is a modified ultra-low carbon Cr-Ni-Mo series austenitic stainless steel based on AISI 316. It is recommended for parts that cannot be annealed after welding in certain corrosive environments.
Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, second stainless steel in importance to 304. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
Samples are either machined before testing or tested in near-net-shape without any surface finishing (geometry according to DIN 50125:2016-D6x30). Values include overlap samples, i.e. multiple lasers work simultaneously on one specimen. All data is derived from standardized SLM Solutions qualification jobs.
4 cze 2024 · In turn, the electrolyte forms the intermediate product ferrite, which oxidizes to form magnetite (Fe3O4) and hematite (Fe2O3). The A-10 sample showed a predominantly royal blue color, indicating a greater thickness around 170 nm15. ... Alloy 316L is an extra low carbon version of type 316 chrome-nickel austenitic alloy. It also contains molybdenum which increases general corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting from chloride ion solutions, and provides increased strength at high temperatures.
EOS StainlessSteel 316L is a high performance marine-grade austen- itic stainless steel that is molybdenum alloyed for enhanced corrosion resistance in chloride environments. 316L is a standard material for
