The Accident Investigation Section (AIG) of ICAO develops and updates SARPs for aircraft accident and incident investigation, and provides guidance on various topics related to accident prevention and investigation. The AIG Section also participates in investigations of accidents of heightened public attention or diplomatic sensitivity.
