Agility Cone Drill Instructions Tips and Things to Remember: (MF Athletic) Begin with a proper warm up and flexibility program. Relax! You’ll move with greater precision and balance if you avoid tensing your muscles. Always see if you can relate the elements of any drill to the movements you make in competition.
Six cones are set up as shown. The athlete starts at cone#1, sprints to cone #2, shuffles slides between cones #2 and #3 twice, sprints to cone #4, uses a cross-over run between cones #4 and #5 twice, sprints to cone#6 and sprints back to cone#1.
Cone Agility Drills. Set up one or two sets of cones in the manner shown below. Cones should be about 5-7 yards from one another. Start a short line of players at the first one (bottom left). They will shuffle, or run the pattern for each cone. Unless specified, the players chest should aways face the top of the cones.
