The G‐DNA is a non‐profit organization that seeks to harness the potential of Ghanaian nurses in the diaspora to enhance nursing education and practice in Ghana. Its mission is to ‘create local to global collaboration between nurses in Ghana and their counterparts in the diaspora’.
In 2017, there were 40+ colleges of education in Ghana, up from 38 in 2015. The colleges are responsible for teacher education. [ 1 ] A further two private colleges are to be absorbed into the group of 41 public institutions, raising the number to 43. [ 2 ]
