To get a Technician Class license, you must pass an exam with 35 multiple-choice questions. On this exam, you will be asked questions about basic electricity and electronics, radio-wave characteristics, radio operation, operating procedures, and the rules and regulations that govern amateur radio.
Find a ham radio exam session in your area or take the exam online. In-person and online tests are given regularly. Register with an ARRL VEC team for your exam and receive your license in 24 to 48 hours. Search for exam teams.
