If a window is shrunk rapidly there are occasionally some formatting issues with CPDLC messages and scrollbars. This is something I am aware of but haven't worked out how to optimise yet, expect this to be refined and improved in future updates.

11 paź 2012 · Part 1 of 4: Learn what FANS is, the documents that define FANS and data link operations, automatic position reporting and text messaging with ATC.
FANS can be divided into two parts, Automatic Dependent Surveillance Contract (ADS-C) and Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC). ADS-C With ADS-C, there are three types of contracts that can be set up by your controller and one set up by the pilot.
22 cze 2019 · CPDLC using FANS over ACARS can be used if ADS-C became unavailable (Doc 10037 § 1.2.4.4.3 and Doc 007 § 6.1.32). ADS-C is mainly about automatic reporting based on fixed intervals and events. Otherwise the reports are submitted manually (voice or CPDLC).
Key elements of Data Comm primarily consist of: • CPDLC or Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications • The goal of Data Comm is to improve safety ADS-C or Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Contract (required for FANS Oceanic) • VDL Mode 2 data link radio and/or appropriate SATCOM
The ICAO CPDLC / ADS−C Provision. Supports FANS 1/A and ATN B1 technologies, but ... FANS 1/A is defined by industry standards. ATN B1 only partly implements ATN; it is not really ICAO. B2 is the planned globally harmonized solution; it is currently a proposal.
Data Comm FANS today uses ADS-C and CPDLC to directly communicate to ATC over VHF or SATCOM (Inmarsat or Iridium) to enable more efficient communications between the aircraft and ATC, although the older Mode 0/A for FANS can still be used in many regions.
