24 kwi 2024 · The USDA recently released a Final Rule to better aligns meal patterns in the CACFP, SFSP, and School Meals with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Changes that Impact CACFP include: Changing limits for breakfast cereals and yogurt from total sugars to added sugars.
All CACFP Program Operators Summary: Maintains all current review requirements and amends 7 CFR 226.6(m)(6) to add the following additional criteria for the State agency to use in scheduling reviews at least once every 2 years: Sponsor more than 100 facilities as currently required; Institutions that engage in activities other than CACFP
CACFP serves infants, preschool children, and children younger than 12 years in child care centers and homes, older children in at-risk afterschool programs and emergency shelters; and disabled and older adults in adult day care centers.
The State agency must ensure that renewing sponsoring organizations submit an administrative budget for the upcoming year with sufficiently detailed information concerning projected CACFP administrative earnings and expenses, as well as other non-Program funds to be used in Program administration.
7 mar 2023 · The new regulations at 7 CFR 225.6(d) clarify existing SFSP requirements and provide support and guidance to State agencies when evaluating sponsor applications. As part of their application, sponsors must demonstrate compliance with the performance standards in their management plan.
