adbFire is a companion program for FireTV XBMC, (Gotham and later only). It allows you to sideload XBMC and other apps without the hassle of downloading the Android SDK and other tools. Additionally, it allows you to copy files to and from XBMC, backup and restore XBMC's data, root the FireTV and more.
Most useful for me was getting rid of the native Amazon launcher (home screen) and installing a third party one. Alleviates all the headaches with the stock launcher. At first, I was adamant about making the stock Amazon launcher work and display sideloaded apps.

I changed the IP address of the fire stick, reboot my PC and the router and the same thing. I tested 2 adbfire versions and the same result. Any advices? EDIT: I managed to install KODI from my phone with the Fire Installer app from the google playstore. 5 min and it was installed.
