SOLUTION FOUND: The controller is in need of a firmware update, to do that via the PC download the "Xbox Accessories" app from the Microsoft Store, wire-up your controller (update via bluetooth is NOT supported) and you should get the option to update the firmware.
11 paź 2020 · My xbox 360 wireless controller keeps intermittently disconnecting from the xbox 360 wireless adapter, this started soon after Windows 10 on my pc finally updated itself to build 2004 about 2 months ago. I've done the usual uninstall/reinstalling drivers for the adapter and controller, didn't help.

I can turn the controller off by holding the Xbox button and then turn it back on and it’ll pair with the adapter just as easily as every other time but it still won’t be detected by Windows. The device manager will recognize the adapter as connected and functioning normally.

10 paź 2011 · Instaluje sterowniki pod swoj system ze strony microsoftu windows 7 64bit, jednak urządzenie nie daje sie podłączyć mimo wciskania guziku na padze i adapterze. w menadżerze urzadzeń pokazuje jakby caly czas nie bylo zainstalowane. Na płycie dolaczonej do adaptera sterowniki sa tylko pod 32bit. pomocy.
