The GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri is an afterburning turbofan project under development by the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), a lab under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Bengaluru, India.
It is a failure of the otherwise successful Rajiv Gandhi govt. (interns of the LCA program), to not bring the GTRE under the roof of the ADA and instead let them do their own thing. And this mistake has been continued by every government since then.
