It will assist you by providing examples for: formatting in-text citations; formatting a reference list; structuring your paper for course work; Not all of your questions will be answered here, as we have focused on commonly used sources and formatting.

The ACS Style Guide does not dictate font, margins, and other overall elements for the text of a paper or report. In general, the below guidelines are considered good practice; however be sure to follow your instructor's directions on such matters.

This is a brief list of possible sources you may use and examples of a citation for those sources. Please consult the full ACS guide for any other source type you might need to cite.
