4:1 formulation: 20 to 40 mg amoxicillin/kg/day in divided doses 3 times daily; maximum daily dose: 1,500 mg/day. 7:1 formulation: 25 to 45 mg amoxicillin/kg/day in divided doses twice daily; maximum daily dose: 1,750 mg/ day .
Dosage. The usual dose of co-amoxiclav is 1 tablet (either 375mg or 625mg) taken 3 times a day. The dose may be lower for children.
