Trillium Ink is an approved tattoo training school in Tigard, Oregon – one of the most regulated state’s tattoo licensing. This accolade has been granted based on our exemplary record and ongoing commitment to upholding the highest standards.
To obtain an Oregon state tattoo license, an artist must attend a tattoo school (if they hadn’t previously been tattooing in another state). The tattoo schools and licensing process is expensive (10k+) and can be hard to navigate.
Course completion is based on Oregon state requirements in conjunction with CJTS's requirements, and upon successful completion the student will then be eligible to apply for Oregon Health Licensing BAP exam and become a licensed tattoo artist.
Trillium Ink Academy is approved and offering courses designed to get students ready to take the Oregon licensing exams and educate them in their selected area of tattoo practice. We offer emphasis on permanent make-up or scalp micropigmentation in our beginning courses.
Completion of these disciplines will provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the tattoo industry and Oregon State laws, rules and regulations.
Our program is designed to prepare students for an entry level position in the tattoo industry. The State of Oregon requires 360 hours of instruction to prepare for state licensure. Enrollment priority is given to those with art training or extensive art experience AND a GREAT attitude. Instruction is divided into two sections totaling 360 hours.
