Go to apple's website directly and take some steps to secure your account. Enable 2FA and update your security questions. They cannot request a password recovery unless they know the answers to your security questions.

Someone hacked my AppleID account and changed the Trusted Phone number and the Password. I have been unable to reset it on my own, and the overnight support has not been able to help either. I also can't get account recovery because I don't know what the phone number was that they changed it to.
I logged onto iCloud to download photos from my account, not to change my password. I personally don't think it would even be possible for me to complete a password change within the one minute it took to do so according to the timestamps on the emails.
It asked for my email linked to the account, my recovery phone number linked to the account and what I wanted my new password to be. When I finally got the recovery text, I went back to iforgot account recovery on Apple website with a link that was provided by the text message.
Since the phone number has changed, there is no way to recover the account. To reset the password you need access to the phone number.
You should try to figure out how they did that. See the following article about how to recover a lost or compromised account: http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/. If you would like some additional help I'd suggest the Google Accounts help forum: https://support.google.com/accounts/community. 1.
Binky390. • 2 yr. ago. The only way to check the status of recovery is to go to the recovery site and attempt another one and see what it says. I had this issue with the main Apple account at my job (someone changed the password and forgot it).
