I enabled Advanced Data Protection months ago and I created the Account recovery keys already. However I am being prompted again now all of a sudden "Account Recovery Method Needed". Why is this happening?
I was drugged and robbed and my phone stolen. The thief took a video of me opening my phone to get the passcode. My iCloud, gmail, and various accounts were taken over. Apple and google support was of no assistance despite me using my credit card to pay for many many things. I could have proven my identity easily.
I'm talking about your account... your iCloud account. For example, T-Mobile has handed over SIM information to hackers numerous times in what's dubbed "SIM swapping attacks". Hackers then use the reset code being texted to the phone number to access whatever they want of the victims account.

27 mar 2024 · If you received a notice from Reddit asking you to reset your password, please visit this article on Suspended or Locked Accounts. If you believe your account has been compromised, submit a request and select security problems, then I think my account has been hacked.
6 kwi 2022 · When I finally got the recovery text, I went back to iforgot account recovery on Apple website with a link that was provided by the text message. There I was able to log back into my Apple account and all was well.
