Apple support says there is no way to recover account if the Trusted Phone number gets changed, which is crazy as that is the first thing that someone would do. Anyway to get this resolved?
Any attempt at using account recovery is unsuccessful and I never get the call or text at the end of the 3-21 day waiting period. This is not unsurprising though since at any time during that wait the phantom laptop that is now signed into my account will most likely ping iCloud at some point and cancel the recovery request and I'll never know.
Someone hacked my AppleID account and changed the Trusted Phone number and the Password. I have been unable to reset it on my own, and the overnight support has not been able to help either. I also can't get account recovery because I don't know what the phone number was that they changed it to.
