Apple support says there is no way to recover account if the Trusted Phone number gets changed, which is crazy as that is the first thing that someone would do. Anyway to get this resolved?
The first attack vector affects everyone. The second affects everyone that hasn't dove into the obscure iCloud settings to manually generate a recovery key (so basically everyone). Trusting Apple's E2EE is trusting that (a) iCloud servers aren't compromised, and (b) the closed-source third-party HSMs aren't compromised.
Account recovery. Solved. I just wanted to write about my experience with account recovery since majority of the stuff online is very negative and makes it sound like a nightmare. I had changed my phone numbers without updating my iCloud account. So my trusted device and phone number Apple had on file I no longer had access to.

9 lip 2023 · I have an iCloud of which started the recovery process several times. It is intercepted and categories changed before I can see them. I need APPLE LEGAL..or to find out if anyone has an answer or had this done to them.
