Navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Application Compatibility and look at "Prevent access to 16-bit applications" in the right-hand pane. If it says Enabled, change it.
Try accessing the account as the system user and seeing if there are security settings as the system user. If so, change the security settings. I am seeing an error message when trying to execute xp_cmdshell from within a stored procedure. xp_cmdshell is enabled on the instance. And the execute permission was granted to my user, but I am still seeing the exception. The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object ‘xp_cmdshell’, database ‘mssqlsystemresource’, schema ‘sys’.
14 mar 2010 · If you have not or cannot set allowallpaths to true, you will only be able to access some general Windows XP folders from the Recovery Console. You will not be able to use set allowallpaths if you have not set it up in XP prior to using the Recovery Console.
