The Masjid Omar Ibn Al Khattab sits at the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, just a stone’s throw from an E (Exposition) Line stop. This iconic mosque, crowned with a vibrant green dome and accompanying minaret, towers over the surrounding streetscape.

The mosque is currently one of only a few mosques in Los Angeles county with a traditional minaret and dome, and its green dome is an architectural landmark on Exposition Boulevard. In addition to prayer space, the mosque also serves as a community center for both Muslims and non-Muslims.
The Masjid, which is part of the Omar Ibn Al Khattab Foundation, is a symbol of the emergence of Islam as a major mainstream religion in Los Angeles. Masjid Omar is located close to USC and the museums at Exposition Park.
Beautiful well-kept and protected masjid. Protected meaning a nice strong presence of security guard. It is clean and the sadaqah is in clear view so you can drop your charity in -- not passed around during the khutbah which is incorrect way to raise funds.
