15 maj 2015 · a2 +b2 doesn't have a nice factorization over the reals, but over the complex numbers it's the squared magnitude of a + bi, which gives the factorization. (a +bi)(a − bi) = a2 +b2. Answer link. Whereas a^2-b^2 = (a+b) (a-b) is very simple, to factor a^2+b^2 requires the use of complex numbers.
An example of an experiment involving two factors is the application of two nitrogen levels, N0 and N1, and two phosphorous levels, P0 and P1 to a crop, with yield (lb/a) as the measured variable. The results are shown here: Factor A = N level Level a1 = N0 a2 = N1 Mean a2-a1 B= b1 = P0 40.9 47.8 44.4 6.9 (se A,b1)

The a² + b² formula represents the sum of squares of two variables a and b, while a² – b² signifies the difference of squares. These expressions find applications in geometry, trigonometry, physics, engineering, statistics, and even complex number calculations.
The a^2 + b^2 formula is used to calculate the sum of two or more squares in an expression. Thus, a sum of squares formula or a^2 + b^2 formula can be expressed as: a 2 + b 2 = (a +b) 2 - 2ab (or) a 2 + b 2 = (a - b) 2 + 2ab. where, a, b = arbitrary numbers.
