28 wrz 2023 · Magnum primers contain more compound than standard primers and will boost pressures accordingly. If you are going to use a magnum primer, make sure to back your powder charge off by 10 percent or so and see what velocities that produces.
27 cze 2013 · Currently loading 9mm with those hard Tula sp primers. Am getting low and am on the hunt for more of any type. Also am wanting to swap out the hammer spring again in my old CZ75-B for a lighter one to help with the double action and hopefully a little on the single action.
17 lut 2003 · Re: Is it possible to load 9mm with magnum primers? Yes, you can use mag primers, but you will have to back down on the powder charge. I would start at minimum, or a few tenths of a grain below minimum, and work up.
4 sie 2010 · I went from Win SPP to CCI SPM to CCI 400 to CCI 450 in 180 power factor 9mm major. The loads were conservatively 50K+ PSI. I saw about 20FPS difference between the SPP and SPM. Those loads were massively over pressure and unsafe yet the primer type made almost no difference.
