30 lis 2019 · You might look at Hawk bullets. They work great on game and we're very accurate in a 405 winchester. The 285 grain soft points in prvi factory ammo in 9.3x62 work well on deer and would probably do good on elk.
As a deer cartridge, the 9.3x57 can perform exceptionally well when loaded with light weight, fast expanding bullets such as those produced by RWS and Norma. These bullets perform well down to 1800fps.
It was created by simply necking-up the 8x57 Mauser case to accept 9.3mm (.366" diameter) bullets. The 9.3x57 is reasonably popular in Scandinavia for hunting moose (alg) and wild boar. Its purpose and ballistics are similar to the .358 Winchester cartridge.
16 sty 2009 · However, this cartridge has a revival in Scandinavia, and Blaser now is making 9,3x57 barrels for the R97 rifle. It is considered one of the best cartridges for moose, bear and hog. The recoil is soft, but the heavy bullet punches a large hole through the game, killing it efficiently.
13 sty 2016 · There's no shortage of 9.3mm bullets to choose from and using a lighter weight, like the 232gr would give you performance about on a par with a 225gr .358 Win mid range loading. There are also some factory loads available or you could resize 8x57 brass to load as well.
14 cze 2017 · Who here has hunting and killed game with a 9.3X57 Mauser Cartridge? I am looking for information and stories about the performance of the cartridge on game, and details of the shot angles, range, bullet used, velocity (barrel length may help) wound channels and bone broken and so on.
20 mar 2005 · my idea here is to use the excellent little swedish mauser action to make a short and handy rifle in the heaviest hitting caliber that can be stuffed into it. i have no interest in pushing pressure limits, i'll just find a moderate load and be happy. (a good hard cast bullet load would be perfect).
