Lense cleaning solution : Reagent or medical grade isopropyl – using a lesser grade alcohol will result in spotting on the lense surface as it evaporates (it will not wick cleanly onto the swab).
They work better on small, concave, or recessed lenses, they are not touched by fingers, and so do not transfer skin oils. They prevent contact between skin and any toxic solvents (xylene) used.
Generally, disinfectant products must be stored away from direct sunlight, in a clean, dry place. All disinfectants must be reconstituted, used and disposed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
