1 mar 2021 · Since the vast majority of content on broadcast TV and streaming platforms is lower than 8k, 8k TVs must interpolate a huge percentage of pixels to make up the difference. Winner: 4k, but barely. 4k on a native 4k TV will always look slightly better than an upscaled image.

That's because there's no functional benefit going from 4k to 8k on any reasonably sized screen. And these tests were done in optimal conditions, with an 88" screen at a short viewing distance. Realistically people will have smaller screens and sit further away, which makes 8k even more pointless.
Most movie theaters use 1080p. Some theater screens that are taller & wider can be 1200p which is basically 1.5K. Imax, Dolby Cinema, RPX and XD can be 2K or 4K. Some older theaters with smaller screens use 800p-1000p which is basically the same as watching a Blu-ray on a big screen.
12 paź 2021 · Framed with its original aspect ratio of 2.39:1, Free Guy is a winner in 4K. Filmed with Arri Alexa cameras (captured up to 6.5K), this is a film the 4K format was made for. Exceptional detail to be found from the source show off beautifully on UHD. Everything in the game world is bright and bold.
