(which is a big part of the population) The difference between 4K and 8K is even less apparent. I have long said 8K is pointless for a couple of reasons. One is you would need a TV of 80"+ to see any benefits and secondly because more than 90% of all movies are shot/mastered in 2K or 4K.

1 mar 2021 · Since the vast majority of content on broadcast TV and streaming platforms is lower than 8k, 8k TVs must interpolate a huge percentage of pixels to make up the difference. Winner: 4k, but barely. 4k on a native 4k TV will always look slightly better than an upscaled image.

24 lut 2023 · First one is the LG OLED model which i saw live and have a great picture quality and specially for black: https://www.gabit.hu/LG-77-OLED77C21LA-4K-UHD-Smart-OLED-TV-OLED77C21LA. The second one is the new 8k NEO QLED from Samsung which is really good live in colors, but not as good in blacks.
