The 8 Sensory Systems: Visual (Sight) The visual sensory system is what we take in with our eyes. Our sense of sight gives us visual cues that allow us to discriminate objects and people. Auditory (Sound) When working as it should, the auditory system allows us to hear and to filter out sounds that we do not need.

6 lut 2024 · Learn about the 8 senses of the body that make up sensory processing, how they work, what they each do, and how the 8 senses relate to kids with sensory processing difficulties.
Visual acuity is how clearly you can see things up close and far away. For example, 20/20 vision is considered normal visual acuity. Visual processing also includes other important ocular abilities that involve coordinated eye muscle movement. It’s important for the eyes to work together as team.
Visual Perception. Visual stimuli are detected by receptors in the eye, conveying details about colour, shape, movement, and contrast. This sensory system aids in directing our attention and actions. Visual Under-Responsivity (Hyposensitivity).
