So I checked the advanced display properties, I saw that the color depth is at 8-bit. When I tried to change it (as in the second photo attached) it seems that the changes are applied, but still remains at 8-bit on the advanced display settings window, and the image quality is still low.

29 kwi 2019 · What does a photo look like when displayed by Windows 10, do you see colour detail you would expect. Mine show a colour depth of 24 bit (even though windows Display shows 8 bit) and the details of the image look fine.
2 wrz 2020 · I've noted that the windows10 advanced display colour depth is defaulted to 8bit RGB, even when a) the display specs are much greater; and b) the related graphics adapter is set for 32bit colours. See screenshot attached of the display and graphics adapter settings.
19 mar 2013 · I have a 24-bit image. I need to convert it into an 8 bit JPEG image. Can it be done by MS Paint or MS picture manager or I need to download any tool. I tried some tool but that did not work. Will an 8 bit image become black and white or it remains coloured?
21 wrz 2021 · There are two types of 'color' depth. What you are looking at in Windows Display is the output bit depth, and 8bit is as good as that gets. on most systems (there may be tweaks\hacks\OC's that result is a slightly higher depth). This is more about printers, etc.
20 lut 2020 · Dithering is typically seen in 256-color, which is "8-bit" in the classic sense. WIndows 10 display property app under "advanced display settings" calls RGB 24-bit "RGB Color format; 8-bit bit depth".
19 wrz 2018 · Why do 8-bit images look the same as 16-bit images? If you convert a single layer 16-bit image to 8-bits, you will see something that looks exactly like the 16-bit image you started with.
