18 lut 2009 · Historic 75-80 Dragway, which had been open since 1960 but closed down in 2005, will reopen on April 3rd. The track is located in Monrovia, Maryland and will be sanctioned by the IHRA. The plan is to offer test and tune, heads-up, and index racing.

I was pleased to learn the legendary 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia MD (DC Suburb) is being resurrected by promoter Terris Hicks. The track opened in 1960 and was operated for 45 years by owner Bill Wilcom until its closure in 2005.
26 cze 2021 · Scroll down the thread I have linked to see photos of clean up underway. Considering the current trend of tracks closing, more than opening, this could be a real boost for folks in the immediate area. And the fact that they aren't starting off with bracket racing is OK too.
