13 sty 2022 · He's looking for a suitable substitute for 700x, a bulky, flake powder. Win 231 is a spherical powder designed for use in pistol ammunition and likely much more dense than 700X. So far as i can tell, win 231 is not recommended for use in shotgun shells.
Not that it's inherently a bad thing, but maybe keep an eye on quality and regularly review any independent analysis that you can find. I personally try to avoid Nestlé products, so was bummed to find out they've gobbled up some of the good ones.
17 maj 2015 · 700X is one of the best all around powders. It can be used for pistol and shotgun and is readily available. 700X excels in 7/8 and 1 oz 12 gauge loads. I wouldn't even think of using Promo in a SA shotgun. It's filthy and inconsistent from jug to jug. There's a reason its cheap.
11 mar 2006 · Low-recoil load, relatively clean burning, and it breaks targets if I do my part. 700 X is also a good powder for 38 special target loads if you reload handgun. I've been using 700X since I started reloading 18-19 years ago, and have been happy with the results.
