27 lis 2014 · But I haven't found much choice these days - all shotgun powders are in short supply and the Hodgdon version of 700X is more available, at least in my area. I understand that Hodgdon owns the IMR brand (and Win) and doesn't actually produce its own powder.
13 gru 2012 · I use 700X in .380, 9mm, .38 Special and .45 ACP. It seems like a good powder, might be better powders out there but in these times of short supply, any powder is good powder. A lot of recipes out there for many calibers. 700x is very versatile and clean shooting for me.
29 wrz 2020 · It's a shotgun powder, used to develop loads in the 8,000 psi and above range. It works fine at higher pressure (prolly over 18,000 psi, in my experience), but lower pressures don't usually KEEP it from performing well.
26 mar 2009 · Is this a decent powder (Hi-Skor 700x) for .357 magnum reloads ? I was given a free jug of it and I'm TOTALLY NEW to reloading. I figured best to ask lots of questions before using it. I have searched the internet far and wide for recipes for this powder and have only found ones for rifle loads.
25 mar 2022 · This extruded flake powder is ideally suited for shotshells in 12- and 16-gauge where clay target and light field loads are the norm. It doubles as an excellent pistol target powder for such cartridges as the 38 Special, 45 ACP and many more.
17 maj 2015 · 700X is one of the best all around powders. It can be used for pistol and shotgun and is readily available. 700X excels in 7/8 and 1 oz 12 gauge loads. I wouldn't even think of using Promo in a SA shotgun. It's filthy and inconsistent from jug to jug. There's a reason its cheap.
11 mar 2006 · Low-recoil load, relatively clean burning, and it breaks targets if I do my part. 700 X is also a good powder for 38 special target loads if you reload handgun. I've been using 700X since I started reloading 18-19 years ago, and have been happy with the results.
