8 lut 2018 · I've had very good luck with the Sierra 180gr. soft points (.311). The 174gr SMK is usually excellent, of course, as well as the Hornady .312 174gr BTHP. The best I've used, however, is the Lapua D166 (usually not called by that name on vendors' websites, but it's the 200 grain FMJBT and is a .310 diameter).

20 maj 2018 · Correct bullet neck tension is critical. I load an approximation of the Finnish service round: Lapua D166 over 42.8~43.4 gr Vihta Vuori N140. Note: the Vihta Vuori loading data give 40 gr VV N140 as the maximum and "accuracy" load for the D166.

Accurate 4350, Graf/Prvi or Lapua cases, CCI 200 primer, for rifles that need a .311 bullet use the Sierra .311 174 gr Match King or the 180 gr SP COL 3.000 For rifles that need .312 bullets use the Hornady .312 174 gr RNSP COL 2.790 and this is important to really good accuracy.

27 wrz 2014 · If you are going to use 147 gr LPS bullets, expect drama in accuracy even if you reload them into good brass, boxer primers and do load development. They just shoot wide compared to better bullets like 174 Gr BTHP by Sierra or Hornady.
