13 mar 2018 · I've loaded 147's for use in both L1A1 & Ishapore 2A1 (basically an SMLE Mk III*) but using 43gr of IMR 4895. POI was on par with NATO marked Hirtenberger & surplus Malaysian. Accuracy was better than either. ETA Brass used is once fired Indian military, so case volume is lower than commercial brass.
Turns out it runs sub moa at 100 yards from my 20" GA Precision. Not bad for $0.50 a round. Pictured a two five round groups of Saltech as well as a group of 168 grain fgmm for comparison. I was just looking at this ammo on sgammo.com today. Your report makes this a compelling option, thanks for sharing.
