3 lut 2009 · Wolf's 7.62x25mm FMJ loading exceeds the PRVI 30 Mauser loading by over 130fps and almost 80ftlbs with identical bullet weights--hardly what I'd call "virtually identical". PRVI stocks ammo in both 7.62 Tok and 7.63 Mauser (30 Mauser), they load both calibers with an 85 grain bullet.

I'm in the research phase of loading 762x25 Tokarev with 110gr 30 carbine bullets. I have Ramshot True Blue as powder, it's a bit difficult to find anything concrete for load data. I did find a AR15.COM post where a user used 7.0 grains as a start load. I looked in my Hornady app which has a limited selection of powders used for data.

28 lip 2017 · That chart above shows you get more energy with the standard 85-90gr load. Not sure who did the charts, but either its a typo, or apples to oranges. The standard 7.62x25 load velocity was based on a 10.6 in barrel, while the 55gr was in a 4.7in barrel.
Velocity at 50 yards: 1458 fps. Muzzle energy: 512 ft/lbs. Energy at 50 yards: 401 ft/lbs. Uses: Target Shooting, Practice. 7.62x25 Tokarev Wolf Gold centerfire pistol cartridge, 85-grain Full Metal Jacket bullet, 1,641 fps, 50 rounds. We might see the same thing with American published 8x57mm loads vs European factory ammo.
3 kwi 2020 · I really like the 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge. It shoots flat, has modest recoil, and is capable of decent accuracy. As the chart indicates, the accuracy of my handloads in my M57 was pretty good considering the less-than-perfect sights and a creepy trigger pull.
