23 lut 2015 · The starter RELAY is on the fender (the SOLENOID is on the starter). If you hear a click, it could be the relay or the solenoid, and it doesn't indicate anything about either one. All it tells you is that the circuitry up to the relay (ignition switch, clutch/neutral safety switch, associated wiring) is good.

20 sie 2010 · Had the same issue. Once you pull the starter out, you can bench test the solenoid. Just pull the solenoid out and connect 12V positive to the big terminal and ground anywhere else.

11 maj 2024 · The PRNDL or clutch switch can have contact issues that don't supply the starter relay a full 12 volts. To check the PRNDL switch would be easy enough to do by removing the dark blue/orange wire (manual) tan/red wire (auto) at the starter relay and connect a headlight bulb as a test light, a "modern" sealed beam or a bulb like a 9006 is a good ...
