Me personally, I would much rather have a 300-400hp IDI than a Cummins making 600-700hp. An idi pushing that much power is far less common. Plus the idi can built to handle it by dropping the compression a bit too.

  6. 16 paź 2010 · The problem with the turbo idi's is the turbo housing is very restrictive and part of the reason for low hp numbers. The idi is a very good motor and in a original diesel truck a good set up but i would not swap it into a gas truck its just to much work for not enough gain.
